Consumer goods companies are looking for packaging innovations that improve operational efficiency while meeting increasing consumer expectations, according to global packaging company, Amcor.

Amcor is sharing its vision for “The Future of Packaging” at Pack Expo in Las Vegas, which welcomes around 30,000 people from September 23 to 25.
“Working with consumer goods companies around the world, we understand the myriad challenges they face,” said Mary Johnson, Director, Marketing Communications, Amcor Flexibles North America.
“At Pack Expo, we help brands navigate shifting consumer preferences, understand how to manage labor costs and productivity challenges, and respond to a growing demand for more sustainable packaging,” said Mrs. Johnson.
Amcor says snacking, convenience and sustainability are three consumer trends for 2020. With consumers making purchasing decisions at the shelf, Amcor works with brands to make packaging that stands out from competitors and helps them to grow.
“Consumer choice is heavily influenced by the look and appeal of product packaging, so we create engaging consumer experiences and differentiation through custom design, new manufacturing services and technologies, and applying new print technologies such as matte, tactile and soft touch,” said Mrs. Johnson.
Sustainability and Ecommerce
On Monday, September 23, at 1:00pm, Amcor’s John Wilson, senior marketing manager for consumer products at the company’s Flexibles North America business, will be on Pack Expo’s Innovation Stage 3 to share insights on how brands can meet sustainability goals in the ecommerce channel.
“With increasing demand for ecommerce-ready packaging, we are optimizing commercialization and helping companies take products from concept to cart, faster,” said Mr. Wilson.
