In today's bustling grocery store aisles, it's no secret that private label or own-brand products are winning over European consumers' hearts. A recent study conducted by Amcor has revealed that a whopping 70% of European shoppers regularly opt for private label products when doing their grocery shopping. What's driving this surge in popularity? It's not just about the price tag; it's a complex blend of factors, including the rising cost of living.

Private labels and European Consumers

Amcor's research delved into the perceptions, considerations, and purchasing habits of over 3,000 grocery shoppers across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, and the Netherlands. The aim of the research was to understand consumers' view of private labels products, and their preferences when it comes to sustainability and packaging.
