ACT2100 heat seal coating for medical grade DuPont™ Tyvek®(1) builds upon the standard set by our previous coatings to provide high performance heat seal coating technology for medical sterile barrier applications.

ACT2100 delivers improvements on seal strength, clean peeling, and optimum porosity

• Seal Strength
ACT2100 heat seal coating provides a greater seal strength, leading to better protection of medical devices, even for large or heavy devices. ACT2100 is up to 25% stronger (2) than other water-based heat seal coatings, and the Tyvek high strength web is resistant to puncture and tearing, ensuring greater levels of safety for end users.

• Breathability
Sterilisation methods using a gas, such as EtO, require a permeable material to allow it to pass in and out of the medical package during sterilisation. AirPeel Technology ACT2100 offers up to 50% greater porosity (2) than similar competitive products to optimise the sterilisation process, leading to quicker EtO sterilisation cycles.

• Peelability
The peelable coating provides a controlled, reliable, aseptic means of opening a package and presenting a device. Amcor’s Air Peel Technology ACT2100 high performance coating offers excellent aseptic presentation while avoiding tearing or fibre lift. The bright white adhesive remains white upon aging, giving an excellent presentation to the medical device packed.

• Sterility
DuPont Tyvek with ACT2100 coating provides superior microbial barrier properties, which keep devices sterile throughout transit and storage until point of use.

• Globally available
