Danny Tucker has worked for Amcor for over 35 years! He has been with our maintenance group and is a licensed electrician. Danny has two children, a son and a daughter, they reside in Oklahoma. When his son Mitch was in high school he applied for a summer job in the building and grounds department. Mitch swept, cleaned and even relocated a storage room during his time with Amcor. When he was nearing his senior year of high school Mitch decided he wanted to attend Oklahoma University and pursue becoming an Electrical Engineer. Danny learned of his son's desire and brought home a flyer on Amcor Scholarships.
Mitch applied and was selected. During his time in college, Mitch continued to come back to Paul's Valley. He even fulfilled two summer internships with Amcor in WI for ASF and ACF engineering. Upon graduation, Mitch was hired as a process engineer. He was able to move to a Maintenance Manager position, then to Technical Manager and is now our Plant Manager in Paul's Valley. Mitch has been with Amcor, counting high school, over 18 years!
“I am very grateful and fortunate to have received the scholarship for all four years of my college experience,” shared Tucker. "Receiving the scholarship went a long way in helping to take some financial burden and worry away from attending college. I would encourage anyone who is eligible to take advantage of the opportunity and apply.”
We are lucky to have multigeneration family members as part of our Amcor Family! If your child is looking at college tuition, we are here to help. Have them apply for our scholarship. We are proud of the talent our colleagues have and want to support their families too!
