It is a Win-Win for G’s Fresh and Amcor Flexibles at the UK Packaging Awards 2013

The beet is the most intense of vegetables requiring a sophisticated packaging solution. So when G's Fresh looked for the right packaging to enhance and protect its delicious nutritious beetroot for M&S, they chose Amcor ReClose.

On 13 November, this choice turned into a Win-Win for both companies at the UK Packaging Awards in London. G's Fresh M&S beetroot range sealed with Amcor ReClose won FIRST PRIZE in the prestigious UK Packaging Awards ‘Consumer Convenience' category and an Highly Commended in the ‘Flexible Plastic Pack of the Year' category. The G's Fresh M&S Beetroot range packed in a punnet with the convenient Amcor ReClose lidding film really impressed the judges. "I love this – the quality of the reseal is the best I have ever seen" is how one of the judges summed up the product while another praised the excellent execution of the pack with its "minimum amount of fuss which does the job".

"Consumer research showed a clear need for a resealable pack so they can avoid the messy decanting of the beetroot into another pack. Security was essential with a product as notorious for staining as beetroot so we needed the seal to be strong time after time. We worked closely with the Amcor team and their Amcor ReClose film has exceeded our expectations for reseal performance.
