Amcor Flexibles Europe & Americas to increase flexible packaging prices due to dramatic increase in raw material prices

Markets & Products
Amcor Flexibles Europe & Americas (AFEA) will increase prices for most flexible packaging effective September 15, 2010.

September 16, 2010

The increases are above those already communicated and are in response to the recent and dramatic rise in raw material costs.

"This increase is necessary due to steep raw material cost increases, particularly polyester-containing products," said Javier Rojo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Global Pharma. "In line with our dedication to minimising cost, we will continue to take aggressive measures to keep costs under control and work to identify ways of serving our customers in the most efficient ways possible," he added.

The new prices will ensure that AFEA remains a viable business partner and continues to invest in new product developments and environmentally sustainable operations.
