Introducing AmFiber™ Performance Paper: high-barrier, recyclable and PVDC-free, it’s the first product to launch on the AmFiber™ global paper platform.
Launching first for the confectionery market, AmFiber™ Performance Paper is an innovative solution delivering a better moisture barrier than other paper packaging. It provides more product protection and a longer shelf life for oxygen and moisture-sensitive products, and has excellent grease resistance.
AmFiber™ Performance Paper is the result of combining decades of experience in paper packaging with expertise in high barrier product protection. The result is a new material that enhances the sustainability of packaging while delivering the performance that brands require.

AmFiber™ Performance Paper: Product features
Barrier properties
The biggest challenge with a porous material like paper is the barrier. AmFiber™ Performance Paper offers not only the oxygen barrier required, but also the moisture barrier that helps protect products and provide a long shelf-life.
Recyclability
In repulping (recycling) tests, over 80% of the packaging content is recovered. This means AmFiber™ Performance Paper meets the requirements to be recyclable in most countries’ paper recycling streams.
Available formats
AmFiber™ Performance Paper is a paper packaging suitable today for products such as chocolate, cereal bars and biscuits (cookies). In the coming months we will be announcing wider applications such as culinary products – dry powders and herbs – as well as coffee stickpacks.
