Amcor’s new European Innovation Center
Amcor has opened its European Innovation Center (AICE) in Ghent, Belgium. This packaging innovation hub partners with brands and retailers to design packaging that delivers better results for consumers and the environment.
Leveraging Amcor's Catalyst™ approach, the AICE supports brands from ideation to shelf, considering market dynamics, consumer preferences, and sustainability.
The AICE facilitates a range of activities:
- Material Science Center: creates packaging materials to reduce packaging’s carbon footprint.
- Customer Engagement Center: facilitates collaborative sessions and consumer focus groups to test packaging appeal and usability.
- E-Commerce Lab: tests and certifies packaging according to ISTA 6 standards.
- Packaging and Recycling Test Center: will house small-scale packing lines for in-house machine trials.
